Talented men cannot heal the sick, the anointed men do. Skills cannot break yokes, the anointing does.
Emotions or logic cannot convert sinners, the anointing does. Words cannot change lives, anointed words do.
Nothing much happened in Jesus’ life and ministry until he became anointed. He preached, taught and healed because he had been anointed. He also gave commands to his disciples by the anointing (Acts 1: 2, Acts 10: 38)
“Christ” means the Anointed One and His anointing, and here is the good news; everyone in Christ is born anointed. To be born again means to be born of the Spirit. The believer is as anointed as Jesus, because the Holy Spirit that empowered Jesus during His earth walk is the same Spirit indwelling us.
1 Corinthians 12: 13 [KJV]
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
Galatians 3: 27 [KJV]
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
We have the same Spirit, we have all been made to drink into one Spirit, and therefore we have the same anointing. The anointing is the difference. Anointed men are threats to the devil.
The Anointing is God working through a believer dedicated to spiritual things. A preacher without the anointing is a public speaker. A worship leader without the anointing is a mere singer. A believer that is not conscious and operating in the anointing of God’s spirit is a mere believer.
There is an anointing available for every assignment from God. It increases by fellow-shipping with the one who gives the assignment. The anointing is maintained by constant fellowship. You cannot hangout with the Holy Spirit and remain you. The result of such hangout is more power and renewal.
DECLARATION
I have the same spirit that raised up Christ from the dead living, active and at work in me. I am anointed and I am conscious of the anointing of God’s spirit within and upon me.
