Not Forsaken!

Psalm 138: 8 (KJV)
The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.

One of the deepest fears of the human heart is abandonment. People leave. Systems fail. Strength fades. But Scripture gives us an unshakable assurance: God does not forsake those who belong to Him. He never leaves, he never quits.

1 Samuel 21: 22 (KJV)
For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people.

God’s faithfulness is not rooted in our perfection but in His name. The prophet Samuel reminds Israel that the Lord’s commitment to His people flows from His covenant and His pleasure in choosing them. This means that God’s loyalty is not seasonal, it is eternal.

The clearest evidence that God will never forsake His own is found in Jesus Christ. On the cross, Jesus cried, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46). He endured that moment so that we would never be forsaken.

Romans 8: 32 (KJV)
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Because Christ was forsaken in our place, the believer now lives under a permanent promise of God’s presence. No believer will never be forsaken, we have been accepted in the beloved (Ephesians 1: 6)

Today, be rest assured that in whatever you go through, be it high or low moments, hills or valley, good or not so good; God is right with you. Believe it and walk in the consciousness of it.

DECLARATION
Father, I thank you because you have perfected all that concerns me. Today, I trust Your faithfulness even when I cannot see Your hand. I am strengthened Your Word and rooted in your grace. I declare that my life is secure in Your covenant love.
