Abba’s Beloved
THE FATHER’S BELOVED
Under the old covenant of the law, God demanded righteousness from man, and He would visit their sins even to the third and fourth generations, but under the new covenant of grace, God imparts righteousness into man through the finished works of Christ on the cross, and He by no means remembers our sins anymore.
Obeying the law could not give the children of Israel the power to stop sin in their lives. The law was good, the law was holy, but has no power to make anyone of them holy or good. But we have received the same power of the son of God, Jesus Christ, and sin has no dominion over us. His finished works on our behalf has brought us transformation, and we now have the ability to produce good works.
We have an overwhelming and tremendous confidence and security in Christ Jesus and before the Father. We enjoy intimate relationship with God as our Father and we can enter into God’s holy presence with joy and boldness. We are always welcomed to the throne of grace to find mercy and grace in times of need.
We don’t depend on our self – effort to receive God’s blessing again, we receive everything based on His own merit and eternal blessedness. We are the Father’s beloved and He has delighted in us to call us all “sons” alongside with Jesus. This is the Grace wherein we were perfected.
1 John 3: 1 [KJV]
Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us that we should be called the sons of God…
He says to you “BEOLD” the unmerited favour, undeserved mercy and unearned blessing the Father has lavished on us. Stand strong in it, because the Father through His son has made you a victor in this life. You have been perfected by grace, deeply loved by God and nothing in heaven or on the earth can change this reality.
DECLARATION
I arm myself with the reality of everything Christ has done and accomplished on my behalf. I am fortified and equipped in His finished works. Glory to God!
