Acts 4:13 (TLB)
When the Council saw the boldness of Peter and John and could see that they were obviously uneducated non-professionals, they were amazed and realized what being with Jesus had done for them!
Peter and John were described as uneducated and non-professional men, they were unlearned and untrained in the schools, with no common educational advantages, but boldness singled them out. Their boldness is traceable to their identity with Jesus. Boldness comes from spending time with JESUS, The Word; spending time with Jesus is spending time with the Word of God.
The world is full of fear and depression, there is shortage of joy. When to turn to the news media; it’s bad news everywhere. The world today is ruled by fear; fear of uncertainties, fear of the unknown, fear of death, fear of failure, fear of wars; the only place where Joy is found is in the Word of God.
God told Joshua repeatedly three times ..
Joshua 1: 6 (KJV)
Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
Joshua 1: 7 (KJV)
Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest.
Joshua 1: 9 (KJV)
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
God had seen ahead of Joshua, and if Joshua was really going to the deliver the promise land into the hands of God people; anointing, grace, prayer and the covenant would not be enough; you’ve got to step into your calling with some boldness, audacity and courage.
There’s a place in God you will never experience until you step out boldly, some doors will never be opened to you until you kill the culture of shame. You will never taste that level of possibilities that God has for you until you go step into it unashamedly.
We must learn how to partner with God in boldness. We must practice boldness. Boldness comes when you practice being bold. The things of the Spirit get better with use, as you practice the things of God, boldness is given to you. Boldness comes from the place of PRAYER – Especially when you speak in other tongues for a long time.
Hebrews 4: 16 (KJV)
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
The Greek word used here for “Boldly” is Parrhesia, It means “Outspokenness”. This scripture is a deep reality in the school of boldness. God invites us to the throne of grace and there’s a manner of entrance; we come with all outspokenness. We speak to obtain mercy and we find grace to help for whatever situation. Glory to God! Your boldness requires audacious words, you can’t profess boldness and keep mute. Boldness speaks.
