Wait On The Lord In Your Kairos Moments
Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Every child of God must create moments to wait on Him. Our theme scripture teaches that as we do so, our strength is renewed.
We wait on God in the Kairos and not the Chronos moments. This means that true communion is defined by spiritual time and not earthly time.
A great man of God narrates an interesting experience that he once had. He was invited for a meal with several guests. Just as they were about to start having their meal, the Spirit of God told him that he needed to go and pray. It was strange for him to abandon the table, as a guest and go off to pray but the urgency of the Spirit was greatly impressed upon him.
This was a man who was sensitive to kairos. He could have brushed it off and waited until the meal was over then spent some considerable time in the presence of God to compensate for his disobedience but he understood the importance of waiting on God in kairos.
While being in the presence of God for hours is a great thing, being in the presence of God at the exact moment that He wishes for you to be in prayer is much more important. If you must grow in the realm of the spirit, it is important to recognize Kairos moments and maximize these experiences.
Whenever you have this unrest, agitation or even sometimes you get angry at a situation in your life, your Kairos moment is knocking; it is time to birth things in prayer.
