Genesis 27: 40 (KJV)
And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck.

Genesis 27: 40 (MSG)
You’ll live far from Earth’s bounty, remote from Heaven’s dew. You’ll live by your sword, hand-to-mouth, and you’ll serve your brother. But when you can’t take it any more, you’ll break loose and run free.

Here is a situation of two brothers, Esau and Jacob; Jacob had supplanted Esau and stolen his blessing by subtlety. Isaac blessed Jacob thinking it was Esau. Esau upon realizing what had happened cried to get his own blessing from his father, but there was no blessing for Esau.

Isaac told Esau, though Jacob had stolen your blessing, but when you decide that enough is enough, you will break free. Remember Jacob and Esau contended in the womb and and at birth, Esau also had one time sold his birthright for a bowl of lentil stew, an immediate physical gratification of a single meal. As if that was not enough, this same Jacob deceived his father disguising as Esau.

All the odds were against Esau, Jacob had ran away with Esau’s birthright and the blessing, it is up to Esau now; to fight and break loose from the yoke if he will be free.

All Esau was left with was his WILL POWER. No human is created to be subdued. No human is created to be subjugated. No human is created to be held down, put under, reduced or forced into slavery. No human is created to be small. The day you determine to break free from the yoke that holds you down, you will be free. There’s power in your might, it is called the latent power of the human spirit.

Once you take the will of a man, you have conquered him. A man’s will is his power. That’s why it is called Will Power. The Will Power of a man is his prerogative, volition, discretion, inclination, ordinance, decree, disposition, discretion, drive. 

Once you take that from man, you have destroyed that man. That was what colonial masters did to Africa, they subjugated their will power, and gave them a new identity.

Your Will power is the latent force of your human Spirit. That Will Power can break any yoke. There’s no force that can stand against Will Power. It is the latent force of your human Spirit.

Esau had Will Power, he went ahead to collaborate with his half brother, Ishmael. Esau raised and army of 400 me, Esau build a nation called Edom. Esau didn’t allow the odds to conquer him, he conquered his odds. Esau broke the yoke of Jacob’s dominion over him. He grew restless until the yoke broke loose.

Jacob and Esau finally met and reconciled, but the lesson is that Esau too had become a great nation. He didn’t allow the adversity break him down. He was now a prosperous man!

Genesis 33: 9 (KJV)
And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that thou hast unto thyself.

Listen to me today, when people hurt you, when they betray you; don’t seek revenge. Skip people and build, be so engrossed with building that you don’t have energy for revenge. The best revenge you can give any betrayal is Success. Focus is your testimony that you have healed and moved on.

DECLARATION
I have the latent power in my human spirit and I subdue all the odds against me. I am winner and a conqueror. I am not a victim but a victor and master of all situation. Glory to God!
