The Spirit of a man is good and perfect, but the mind needs to be renewed by the word of God to cooperate with the Spirit man. The mind is the door between the Spirit and the body; all information coming from the Spirit will be interpreted by the mind, then to be passed through the body.
Our spirits are brand new creatures and it is perfect, but however our soul must be renewed through the Word. We can not pay attention to the Spirit and neglect the personal growth. The best tool for your personal growth which happen in the mind is The WORD

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
2 Peter 2: 2 (KJV)
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
When a baby didn’t get enough nutrition in life’s early stages, he gets affected in his subsequent and later stages of growth and development, so also a believer with a wrong or insufficient formula.
Timothy was acquainted with scriptures from a young age and that made him wise unto salvation. The more of God’s word you know, the more of wisdom is made available to you.
DECLARATION
I develop my mind in the word, I am acquainted in the Word and I am devoted to the Word. The word of God is my life.
