Philippians 1: 6 [KJV]
Being confident of this very that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it till the day of Christ.
From very moment you receive the Lordship of Christ Jesus into your human spirit, a good work was started in you by God. A good work of super abundant life in Christ, a good work rooted in the finished works of Christ on your behalf, a good work where Christ is your all sufficiency and more than enough and this good work is never going to end until God completes every item of that good work even till the day of Christ.
This is one reason for our full assurance in the place of prayer. We are confident that God is at work in us both to do and will (Philippians 2: 13).
God is back of every promise revealed in His Word and He will perform it. God has a million and one way to meet our needs. God is never limited as we might be limited in our thoughts and ideas. God is all surpassing and He will do much more than we can fathom or imagine.
God is your source of total supply; God is your only help and option. Fix your eyes on Him and His Word. Men and things are channels; men may change, your channel may choose another route; but God is unchanging, your source is ever constant. He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13: 8).
Take hold of the Word of God, confess, appropriate and rejoice over it as one who is a recipient of Christ’s good and finished works.
Another reason for our boldness in the place of prayer is because Christ has granted us equal access to approach God and commune with Him without any intermediary. We have been adopted by God and His indwelling presence in us, the Holy Spirit causes us to call Him “Abba Father” (Romans 8: 15). He is our Father, and we are His sons; we have boldness and confidence to call him “Father”. We know Him and He is known of us. The access to Him can never be denied us. We are for Him and He is for us. This is what Jesus accomplished for us.
Enjoy sweet discourse with your Father daily. He is always available. He yearns for your fellowship. Don’t come feeling unworthy or with a sense of need. Just come as you are. Come with arms wide open; come to the table to feast.
