Homologeo

Romans 10: 9 – 10 [KJV]
That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

The word “Confession” in the scripture above is translated “Homologeo”. It simply means to say the same thing, and in this case; it means to say the same thing with God.

Faith is found in two places; in your heart and in your mouth. Faith in the heart is meant to be expressed by the mouth; without the mouth being involved, your faith action is not complete. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. There are two parts to “Homologeo”.

  1. Giving voice to what you believe.
  2. Saying the same thing with God and His word.

First, you express what you believe in your heart by saying it out or giving a voice to it because faith speaks; but the most important thing is not just to say what you believe, but saying what God is saying.

Faith is voice-activated. The moment you start confessing God’s word, your spirit man comes alive and becomes sensitive so that you can get a particular direction for that situation. The next thing to do after you have agreed with the Word of God is to voice out what you agree.

An active Christian is a speaking Christian. God wants us to speak as much as we have believed and agreed. Speaking and saying the same thing with God engraves the reality of the promises of God in your heart.

When you speak out, it shows you have chosen what you want; you have voiced it out and nothing can take it back because it backed up by God’s word. Glory to God!

DECLARATION
I am active in my confession. I am a speaking believer. I speak the same thing with God and I get His kind of result. Glory to God!
