So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Every day is a gift. Each day comes with its newness and freshness. Our lives are summed in each day that comes to us as a gift. But much more beyond the days available to us, we must live within the moments and maximize it the opportunities that comes with the days.
Bible often talk about days, not years. We count and celebrate years. God’s timing is not the same as man’s. God deals with us with the moments of our lives.
Our days on earth are few; even If God allows you to live up to a thousand years, the days will count down gradually and come to an end. God expects us to recognize each day He has given us as gifts and spend each of them wisely. We must steward and treat each day as a gift.
Godly stewardship is spending the resources God has made available to you wisely. This includes money, time, resources, days, opportunities, privileges, people and more. Our ability to stewards these as God’s gifts and maximize them to the fullest will determine the sum total of our live and our days one earth.
Ephesians 5: 15 – 16 (KJV)
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Life is lived by wisdom not hustle. The Word of God admonishes us to live with wisdom. To make use of your days on earth; we must acquaint with the creator of our days on earth. The one who has planned our days and also know the outcome of each day.
It is unwise to act thoughtlessly, we must find out and do whatever the Lord wants us to. You can not make full use of your days on earth if you neglect the One who owns the day. Our days are in Hands. While the enemy plans to cause havoc and evil for each day; we can oust him and all his cohorts with our security in God.
Make full use of each day with prayer. A life of prayer begins with a day of prayer. You will run faster with God that without Him. You will achieve with ease when you do it with God. Your days will become a memorial for the generations coming behind. This is how to live forever under the eyes of God.
DECLARATION
I recognize my days on earth God’s gift to me. I seize each day and every moment available to me. I am a faithful steward of the day God gives me and I maximize it to bring glory to God.
