Isaiah 51: 2 (KJV)
Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.
Abraham had the one of the best records of good reports in the scripture, such that his act of faith earned him righteousness. The faith of Abraham is such kind of faith that is required to please God.
Hebrews 11: 2 (KJV)
For by it, the elders obtained a good report.
There’s something about faith walk, it will make an elder out of you. Eldership in the scheme of things is not gray headedness, it is how much of the word you have handled.
Spiritual maturity deals with defiling your senses and feelings to walk with God. Walking by faith is walking with the Word, not your feelings. Feelings will lie to you, but faith you lead you through.
Faith believes God and every detail of His Word. Faith sees impossibilities as bread. Faith refuses to stagger at the promises of God through unbelief. Faith triumphs in the presence of fear and doubt; faith rejoices in the face of oppositions, unlikely situations, and the most unusual times.
The walk of faith requires time. He that believes shall not make haste (Isaiah 28: 16) Hastiness is a sign of unbelief.
We must master our faith life as regarding staying and acting on the Word of God for a long period of time; we must not get perturbed when things wouldn’t change at our own time; we must not lose our vigor in the good fight of faith
Abraham was not called the father of faith for nothing; he earned it, he fathered this thing called “faith”. Look upon Abraham your father today and be inspired. He trusted the Word of God. Nobody waits on God and wait in vain.
Romans 4: 21 [NIV]
Being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.
Persuasion and conviction is key if you are going to have a strong walk with God. You must come to a place in your spiritual growth where nothing disturbs or perturbs you.
Abraham was fully persuaded, not half hearted, he did not follow God just because he wanted Isaac, Isaac was in the picture before, but it changed to a bigger picture (Christ) in his faith walk, his faith was tested and proven.
Abraham earned the gift of righteousness by his walk of faith even before Jesus came to establish it through his death and resurrection.
He walked against all hopes, yet never became hopeless. Despite the deadness of his own body and the deadness of Sarah’s womb, he was strong in faith, giving glory to God because he was fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised.
Look unto Abraham today. Let his life and doggedness in the Word challenge you. Be persuaded just like Abraham; be resolute and trust every detail of God’s word that comes alive in your heart and rejoice over it. God is ever willing and he is always faith. He can be trusted.
DECLARATION
I am strong in faith; my faith is active, alive and operative. I am fully persuaded in the promises of God for my life and I rejoice in the Lord always. Glory to God!
