Judges 6 : 14 (NKJV)
Then the Lord turned to him and said, “Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?”
This is God’s command to Gideon to deliver Israel, meaning he should act using the strength found in God’s presence and backing. It is the inner strength and authority that come from having God on one’s side, rather than relying on physical might.
God calls the weak to do great things, qualifying them by His grace and infusing supernatural energy to do the impossible. Gideon felt weak and lived in a weak clan, but was told to use the limited, God-given capacity he already had.
On whose might are you running, planning or building?
Every believer can do exploits for the kingdom of God by depending on the power of the Holy Spirit. Our might is the Spirit’s might.
Zechariah 4 : 6 (KJV)
Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.
The Holy Spirit is “The Spirit of Might” and He infuses into us “The Might Of God” to accomplish everything God has designed for us on the earth.
Our own might will fail in the days of adversity. There’s little to what a man’s might can achieve but anyone filled with the Holy Ghost is a super man.
Isaiah 11 : 2 (KJV)
And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;
Our God is mighty, He takes mighty steps and achieves mighty results. We are born of the mighty God and we are made to achieve mighty results as well. On Whose might are you running your race?
The Spirit of might is on you, take advantage of the Holy Spirit in you. Spend more time in fellowship with Him. Pray more in other tongues. Edify yourself until the “The Spirit of Might” stands strong in you.
Glory to God!
