Rejoicing In The Word

Psalm 119: 162 (New Living Translation)
I rejoice in your word like one who discovers a great treasure.

The best way to receive the Word of God is to get thrilled with it. Receiving God’s Word with joy gives the Word full expression to manifest.

Expressing your joy in the realm of the spirit is a big business. The Holy Ghost joy is contagious, it can’t be silenced, it can’t be muted, it’s an endless stream of the river of life cascading down from God into the inner core of the soul.

You have been listening, praying, fasting and confessing the Word; my friend, it is time to leap for joy. The “Gospel” means “Good News”; the default response to Good News is joy.

As the Word without the Spirit is dead, so also the Word without an expression of joy is lifeless.

This “joy” is a product of our recreated human spirit; joy so great, impossible to be expressed with words; unspeakable and full of glory. Just as fruits are naturally produced from a tree, so joy is produced naturally in the believer by the Holy Spirit.

Rejoicing in the Lord is not a suggestion, it is a command! It is a duty you must prioritize. We must place a high priority on rejoicing.

There’s a special blessing God reserves only for joyful people. I know you have prayed, fasted and you’re expecting a miracle; it is time to count it all joy.

Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

Paul while in the confines of prison in Asia minor wrote the particular Epistle.
Paul was in chains, but the Word of God is not in chains. Paul’s commitment to the defense of the Gospel was done in trials, pains, persecutions and imprisonment, but not without joy.

1 Peter 1: 8
Whom having not seen, ye love. In Him, though now ye see Him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.

We walk by faith not by sensory perceptions. We love Him because He first loved us. We do not see Him physically, yet He resides in our heart, living and active within.

Whatever we face or encounter, in good times, bad times or not so good times; in season and out of season; we must continue to hold on to the truth and the consciousness of His indwelling presence in us. This is our ultimate source of joy unspeakable and full of glory.

DECLARATION
The word of God is the rejoicing of my heart. The word of God is my source of joy. I have joy in me and it is unspeakable and full of glory. The joy of the Lord is my strength.
