Security In Christ

“For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God — Colossians 3:3

There are days when faith feels strong and days when it feels thin. Days when you pray boldly, and days when words won’t come. Yet the truth remains unchanged: your security in Christ does not rise and fall with your emotions.

To be secured in Christ means your life is no longer exposed. You are not living at the mercy of yesterday’s mistakes, today’s fears, or tomorrow’s uncertainties. God did not save you and then leave you to maintain yourself. Salvation was His work from beginning to end.

Jesus said, “No man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.” (John 10:29)

That means when you feel weak, you are still held. When you stumble, you are still His. When life feels unstable, your position in Christ remains firm. We often struggle because we measure our standing with God by our performance. A good day makes us feel close; a bad day makes us feel distant. But Scripture reminds us:

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1)

Your security is not rooted in consistency of behavior, but in the consistency of Christ. He finished the work. The cross did not make salvation possible, it made it complete.

Paul tells us we are sealed with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13). A seal means ownership, protection, and permanence. God placed His Spirit in you as proof that you belong to Him, not temporarily, not conditionally, but fully.

This truth changes how we live. We don’t pray to earn God’s nearness; we pray because He is near. We don’t obey out of fear of rejection; we obey out of assurance that we are already accepted.

“Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6)

Even when you don’t feel finished or fulfilled, God is not confused about you. He knows where He is taking you and He will get you there.

DECLARATION
I am in Christ, and I am secure. I am not defined by my failures or fears. I am sealed, kept, and held by God. Nothing can separate me from His love.
