Bible Hope: Supernatural Expectation

Bible hope is not wishing or wanting something, Bible hope is not mere desire, Bible hope is not “what will be will be”, Bible hope is supernatural expectation. Bible Hope is not delusional, it is supernatural.

Proverbs 23:18 (AMPC)
For surely there is a latter end [a future and a reward], and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off.

Expectation is the end point in receiving the manifestation of your desires. Expectation is the strong conviction that that something good will surely happen.

Expectation prepares you for receiving, it gives you focus and enables you to give attention to the Word of God while waiting. Bible hope is the gap you have between your prayer requests and your answers.

Romans 5: 5 (KJV)
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Hopelessness causes shame. One of the reasons people are ashamed about themselves, career, marriage, ministry or the present moment is due to lack of hope.

If you’re very hopeful about your life, you will walk tall and be proud of who you are. Shame is a curse, and Jesus was made a curse for us, for curse is anyone hung on a tree.

The believer must never get to a point in life where he becomes hopeless. Hopelessness was our case when we were unbelievers; we were without God, alienated from God, hopeless and Godless; but now we have Christ in us, the hope of glory.

Hope doesn’t make you ashamed. Hope will cause you to walk in love. Hope will anchor your soul, instead of drifting and being tossed here and there, hope will stabilize you. Hope will cause you to rejoice and thank God at the most unusual time.

Job 14: 7 (KJV)
For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.

This verse here gives us a picture of utter hopelessness, but against the hopeless situation, the tree that was cut down sprouted again. If plants have the audacity and the doggedness to come back to life after being cut asunder, how much more you, the child of the most high God.

Romans 4: 18 – 19 (KJV)
18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb:

Abraham had his own share of hopeless moment. Abraham’s body was dead, Sarah’s womb too was dead. Deadness meets deadness. Hopelessness meet hopelessness. But Abraham staggered not at the promised of God through unbelief.

Your walk of faith must be proven and tested. God does not tempt us, but he tests us. Temptations reveal weakness, tests reveal strength.

Jeremiah 29: 11 (NKJV)
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

The Hebrew word for “expected end” is TICKVAH, It literally means “Cord” or “Rope’. What expectation does is to tie to you to what you have believed for like you would use a rope to tie something. When you stop expecting you cut the rope or cord that joins you to what you have believed God for.

One of the most important things to a pregnant woman is her EDD [Expected Delivery Date]. The EDD is the expected delivery date which prepares her for the baby. She prepares with joy. Expectation produces joy. The Bible commands us to rejoice in hope (Romans 12: 12).

Your expectation connects and your ties your faith to the the promises in the Word of God. Many do well in releasing their faith, but miss out when it comes to expectation.

Expectation is highly spiritual. Bible expectation is supernatural. Bible expectation is an act of faith. Expectation is a force; it is as powerful as prayer, and as potent as faith.

Expect good news today and always. Expect your phone to ring for a miracle. Expect good news in your mail. Expect supply, expect harvest and expect increase.

You have prayed, fasted, confessed the Word, rejoiced, sown your seeds; now is the time to expect the delivery of your testimonies.

DECLARATION
I train my mind for supernatural expectation. I expect good news today and always. My hope is strong and alive. I am fully persuaded and convinced about every promise of God for my life. I am active in God’s purpose, fervent in God’s service and rejoicing in the hope of the glory of God.
