There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.

There is none like the God of Jerusalem— He descends from the heavens, In majestic splendor to help you.
Jeshurun is another name for Israel. The God of Jeshurun is a poetic name referring to the God of Israel. It emphasizes the uniqueness of the God of Israel, that there is no deity like the God of Israel, who stands apart from the gods of other nations. Jeshurun is a name that celebrates God’s unwavering commitment and faithfulness to Israel.
But I want us to look at the striking part of this text today. This verse describes God as the powerful figure who “rides upon the heavens” to come to the aid of His people, symbolizing His sovereignty and readiness to provide assistance.
The name Jeshurun means “the beloved one”. This means everything to me. The meaning of the name strikes a chord within me. It also tells about us believers in Christ Jesus, we are the spiritual Israelites, and we have been accepted in the beloved by the Father.
Just as Israel in the flesh was dear to God, so also everyone who comes to Christ Jesus is accepted by the Father in the beloved. (Ephesians 1: 6)
Hence, the God of Jeshurun is our God, and He rides upon the heaven in our help. No child of God should be stranded, disadvantaged or helpless. God is more than ready and willing to come to the aid of His children.
Today, acknowledge God as the God that rides upon the heavens to help you. I often say it like this “the God of Jeshurun is my God, and He rides upon the heavens to help me today!” Declare this words to yourself and invoke the help of the God of Jeshurun. Glory to His name forever!
DECLARATION
The God of Jeshurun is my God, and He rides upon the heavens to help me today! I am supernaturally helped by God. Help has come for me. I am that person helped and assisted by the Lord!
