The Missionary Christian

Many Christians today live passionless, feckless and muted lives. We live in a day where Christians do not have a passion to see people come to Christ. There are many things that deflect their interest from this cause.

However, eternity is too long and time too short to not put priority on the things of greatest value. Those who have no significant purpose in their lives do not have definition to what they do. They wander through life without goals. We accomplish very little without goals. Every Christian should have the goal of reaching the world with the Word. Every Christian should be a missionary.

Romans 1: 16 [KJV
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

The gospel does not bring the power of God, the gospel does not attract the power of God, the gospel is the power of God. The power of God is in the gospel message and also in the messenger.

It is a wonderful thing to see ourselves used by God as we set forth the gospel. There is nothing like seeing someone pass from eternal hell to eternal life. We must communicate the gospel with more than Christian life; we must do it with our lips as well, if we are going to significantly advance the cause of Christ. True biblical communication requires both life and lips.

A gospel presentation will not be effective unless all four spheres are integrated: articulating the gospel in words, relying on its power, depending on the Holy Spirit to convict people, and delivering it with great confidence.

Since the gospel carries the inherent power of God with it, the gospel is not drab, dull or ineffective if we engage its intrinsic power.

God will use the unique power of the gospel to cause those without Christ to embrace the Son of God. All it takes is for us to “GO”.

The word “GO” in Acts 16: 15 is a matter of commandment and urgency to turn many into righteousness and fill them with the power of God.

All you need is to start right now and accomplish whatever God has placed in your heart.

You can start from your office and then touch and change the world. You can even start by praying for a friend or leading Him to Jesus; your house can be a home of love and care for all; and from there, people will begin to experience Jesus through you. Paul admonished timothy

2 Timothy 4: 2 (NLT)
Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favourable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.

Don’t withhold your hands, don’t hold back for a minute, become a volunteer for Jesus.

Be enlisted in the army now. Start that vision now!!! Only what we do for God and humanity (especially to those of the household of faith) has eternal value.

Don’t just live to prepare and go to heaven alone; prepare to go with as many as possible with you. Become an ardent giver, an intercessor and also do the work of an evangelist.

The king’s work requires haste; the harvest is truly plenteous and God is counting on individuals like you and I to rise up and take the challenge and be enlisted among the last day’s armies.

So much needs to be done, so many places to go, so many lives to be touched and assignments to be fulfilled. It all begins from within.

Get up now to take the gospel to the ends of the earth, for it is the power of God. GRACE TO YOUR HEART!

DECLARATION
I take the gospel of Christ to the ends of the earth, I am active both in and out of season. I am convinced that the gospel is the only solution to man’s problem and I actively share and spread it to all men.
