Matthew 6: 25 [KJV]
Therefore take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for the body, what ye shall put on. Is not life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
The word “take no thought” means “do not worry”; while “taking thought or to take thought” means to worry.
The system of this world thrives on a passion for uncontrolled desires, needs and wants; hence we must adhere to Jesus’ instruction here and refuse to bow to the cares of this life. You have the right to desire good things, to desire money, cars, properties etc., but you don’t have the right to worry. Worry is a step out of God’s plan.
Oftentimes we don’t value life, life is more important than the needs of life itself. The value God places on you is bigger than any material thing. Animals feed and have their needs met on a daily basis, plants do not worry about their growth or clothing; the birds of the air do not sell or buy because God’s providence is abundant for all created things.
God is in charge of this world and he takes care of them all from the smallest to the greatest.
If God had all of these creations in mind and loads them daily with his goodness and blessings without them toiling or struggling; how much more you created in His image and likeness?
And the big thing is; how much more you a new creation in Christ Jesus, accepted in the beloved, born of God, made righteous and declared not guilty? Trash every sense of anxiety now and give glory to God who gives all things freely to enjoy.
DECLARATION
I refuse to worry; I choose to rejoice. I have all my needs met in Christ Jesus because God is the source of my total supply.
