No place in the Word of God suggests to the believer to overcome sin ; the Word of God tells us that sin shall not have dominion over us, to deny ungodliness and and flee every appearance of sin. The blood took care of sin, the cross took care of the sinner; absorbing all in the body of Christ.
The old man was nailed to the cross, he died with Christ; the new man has no business in going back to the cross; he has been raised with Christ and now seated with him.
The man that was raised with Christ is a saint not a sinner and just as Christ would never be crucified again so also is the new man. God by dealing with Christ has dealt with the new man; and as the Head so are all the members.
Romans 6: 5 – 7 [KJV]
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.
What God granted us in Christ is an exchanged life; Christ became our substitute. He took our sin and gave us his righteousness; he took our shame and condemnation and gave us his peace and joy; the spirit of heaviness has been exchange with oil of gladness; that is substitution.
Out of death came out life and out of corruption came out incorruption. Christ has given us the highest and the greatest blessing; the new creation is God’s greatest miracle. We have become superior to the devil, death, sin and to the world.
The new life we have received in Christ is an ever – increasing life of grace and glory. It is no longer the case of trying or struggling to please God; God has been pleased by what Christ did on our behalf. All we have to do is to trust and rest in what Christ has accomplished for us.
We have the inherent power and the dominion over sin. We have victory over Satan, sin and death. Glory to God!
DECLARATION
I am superior to the devil, death, sin and to the world. I have passed from death to life. The greater one lives and dwells in me. I am more than a conqueror. I am highly blessed and greatly love by the Father; and I God’s property and his daily delight. Halleluyah!
