2 Corinthians 9: 6 – 7 (ESV)
6 The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
The law of reaping and sowing or the law of seed time and harvest will forever remain as long as the earth exists. This law when applied by a child of God will cause the flow of blessing in his or her life. God sets this law in place to be a blessing to our lives. God wants you blessed and wants to see you win in every situation.
But there’s something more; God’s blessing is to cause us to be a channel of blessing to others. Just as we are saved to save others, so also we are blessed to bless others. You have not known the true blessedness of the God-life until his life, grace and love flows from you to other people.
We are called to live a life of giving, to spend and be spent, to live without borders until the life and nature of God is communicated to the world around us.
If you really want to enjoy the riches God has for you, make up your mind to be a channel of blessing to people; start by giving to others, and before you know it, you will be receiving more from God than you ever dreamed.
Become a channel of blessing today, lay down your time, resources, money and compassion for others and God will delight that whatever belongs to you is taken care of. Amen!
