The Lord’s Presence

Genesis 39:3 (KJV)
And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand.

Nothing could be worse than the situation Joseph found himself. He was hated and betrayed by his own brothers, kept in a pit, sold to slavery in an Egyptian market, he was reduced to nothing in a foreign land and the worst of it all, found himself in prison. This was someone that was beloved of his father, but all that he had was stripped from him.

But this question is, what this the end of Joseph? Naturally it looked like it was the end, but with all the odds and evil fashioned against him, the Lord himself was present in all situations. In the dark and bleak juncture of his life, the Lord made him successful.

It is not about what you have or have not that matters, but recognizing who you are in the Lord. Do you imagine yourself becoming successful and prosperous against all the odds against you? All Joseph had was the Lord’s presence and that was what made all the difference.

It does not matter all the odds against you, become aware of the presence of the Lord with you today. He is with you every step of the way. He will never leave you or forsake you. You’re Abba’s beloved and you’re not stranded. Glory to God!
