Ecclesiastes 8:4 (KJV)
Where the word of a king is, there is power; And who may say to him, “What are you doing?”
In Bible times, a king’s word carries tremendous power. What he decreed would come to pass. The king’s word is final. You remember when Herod ordered the killing of young children in and around Bethlehem because he was furious that the Magi (wise men) had tricked him and failed to report the location of the newborn baby proclaimed as the King of the Jews. He could do that because he was the king. The king is the most powerful figure in the land.
Do you know we are kings? Do you know that our words carry power? We have been made kings and priests unto God. We rule and reign, we make decree and effect God’s will on the earth.
When we place hands on the sick and say “Be healed”, such a person is healed. When we proclaim blessings on people and we say “Be blessed”, such a person is blessed. There’s power in our word because they are the words of kings.
There’s power in your words. The devil is happy when you use the power of your words against yourself. He wants to see you confused and defeated. Remember, as a king that you are, what you say will come to pass because where the word of a king is there power. Speak like a king, decree and declare. Speak grace, healing, power and prosperity always. Glory to God!
