But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
The best way to rob the enemy’s threats of every last scrap of its power is to have this attitude of Paul in this scripture above. Paul was under tremendous pressure, but he was not concerned about what he was experiencing.
Paul refused to be perturbed about this short and earthly life. He didn’t crumble under persecution, tribulations or threats. He simply said “None of these things move me”. Once you have this kind of attitude that Paul had, there’s nothing that Satan or hell would bring against you that will succeed.
I know there are challenges around you, there mountains that seem so high on climb, there are situations crushing in like a flood; but you have one duty and that is to remain steadfast and unmovable. Every challenge is a bread for the main in Christ.
Have your eyes fixed on running your race and finishing your course that you don’t have any time to deal with frivolities. Instead of fuming and fussing over ugly situations, set your face like a flint and refuse to be perturbed until you stand before the master face to face to hear him say “well done, good and faithful servant”.
