How Do You See Yourself?

Numbers 13: 33 (KJV)
And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

How you see yourself is how people will see you, how you see yourself is how Satan will see you as well. Perception is very important in God’s kingdom. Your perception will determine your approach and your approach will determine your outcome. How’s does Satan see you? Does he see you as a someone he can scare in a minute? Or as a champion in Christ.

Satan is not afraid of you because you are Christian, he was not afraid to get close to Jesus, he tempted the Son of God! Satan is afraid of you because you know your rights, privilege and authority in Christ.

The reason the children of Israel were so terrified by the giants in Canaan was not because those giants were so big, it was because the children of Israel saw themselves so so small that they compared themselves to “grasshoppers”.

Can you imagine that perspective? The very people God delivered from Pharaoh, opened the red sea, guarded them with the pillar of fire and cloud, it is so sad that they relegated themselves to aninsect. What a tragedy!

The same thing is true for Christians today. It is what you call yourself that makes the difference. If you see yourself as weak, powerless and incapable, Satan will deal with you that way and run you down.

See yourself as God sees you. See yourself capable and equal to the task, see yourself strong in the Lord. Be full of God’s word that nothing can confuse your capacity in Christ. Turn the table today, and see yourself the way God sees you! You’re a victor!
