Don’t Let Everyone Speak Into Your Life

Colossians 2: 8 (TLB)
Don’t let others spoil your faith and joy with their philosophies, their wrong and shallow answers built on men’s thoughts and ideas, instead of on what Christ has said.

Not everyone has God’s word in their mouth for you. Just because someone is popular or they are sounding deep does not mean they ought to have a voice into your life. Not every word is meant for you. Not everyone should speak into your life. Words are creative and they shape our thought patterns and dominant ideas.

We are in an age of swift information, the devil’s attempt is not to sell to you his lies outrightly, he’s aware you might not fall for his falsehood, but what he does is to mask the truth with falsehood and paint black as white; his major tool is deception.

Many teachers are in the rise, some of which are Satan’s emissaries and they are speaking louder and bolder than before; the internet is level play ground for the truth and falsehood; this is the time to be extra careful, to heighten your discernment and be careful with the people you follow, the contents you engage with and the voice that speaks to your life.

Jeremiah 3: 15 (KJV)
And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

The gift of a Pastor is this age can not be trivialized, if God has given you a shepherd and you have a local church that feeds, nurtures and loves you; stay grounded and be committed there. Trends come and go, but the word of God’s abides forever.  The voice of the Holy Spirit, the Word of God through your Pastor is God’s safe voice that should be be speaking to your life. The outside world is filled with hirelings and deceivers. Keep your eyes single, your heart tender and like a sheep follow the voice of God via inward witness and through the shepherd God has given you. Amen!
